We are excited to announce that Heather Boushey, noted economist and an expert on how public policies can help address the challenges faced by working families, will deliver a plenary address at our annual conference on March 2 in Sacramento.

Boushey is author of the acclaimed Finding Time: The Economics of Work-Life Conflict and serves as Executive Director and Chief Economist at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. She has twice been named by Politico as one of the top 50 “thinkers, doers and visionaries transforming American politics.”

Boushey‘s address at Policy Insights 2017 will discuss how emerging or expected federal policy proposals might affect working families’ financial and overall well-being. Boushey will provide examples of policy ideas, including those that state policymakers could pursue, for significantly helping families to make ends meet and climb the economic ladder.

Register now to claim your spot for Policy Insights 2017. The conference also will feature timely sessions on the federal and state budget outlook, poverty among older adults, climate change, criminal justice reform, K-12 education, child development, and other topics.

Early-bird registration ends on Monday, February 13. Don’t miss your chance to save over 15 percent.

If you have any questions or would like any additional information on Policy Insights 2017, contact the Budget Center at (916) 444-0500 or contact@staging.calbudgetcenter.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
